My stay at Hotel Vesper was a mixed bag. The friendly staff really made the experience better, and I loved the boutique feel of the hotel. However, the rooms were quite worn-down, and I had some issues with the cleanliness and amenities.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious, which was definitely a plus. However, I found the furniture to be in bad shape and the walls needed a fresh coat of paint. The bed linens weren't great either; they seemed a bit dingy, and the limited power outlets were frustrating, especially for work.
Service
8.0
The staff was super nice and accommodating, always willing to help out when I needed something. Their friendliness really stood out during my stay, which I appreciated a lot.
Location
6.0
The location near the Galleria was pretty convenient for shopping and dining, but I did feel a bit uneasy being in an area that's known for crime. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning to venture out.
Dining
7.0
I didn't try breakfast, but I did enjoy some delicious snacks from the bar. However, I wish there were more options for breakfast, especially something like toast and marmalade.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has a bar and restaurant, which is nice for convenience. However, I felt like some amenities could have been better, like having a kitchenette in the room or better dining options.

5.2/10

I found Hotel Vesper quite comfortable for my stay, especially the bed, which provided a great night's sleep. however, the outdated air conditioning and a bathroom in need of an upgrade were a bit disappointing. The location was superb, being near the Galleria area with plenty of dining options nearby, making it very convenient. Overall, while it wasn’t a premium experience, it had its cozy touches.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and featured a nice little bar area. but the old air conditioning was noisy. I appreciated the comfortable bed, though the bathroom definitely needs some renovation.
Service
7.0
The staff was generally helpful, though I encountered some minor issues that could have been addressed more promptly. Still, the amenities like room service and housekeeping were appreciated.
Location

Being so close to the Galleria made it super easy to find great restaurants and shopping. I loved that convenience! Just a short drive from the Houston airport, too.
Dining
7.0
The on-site bar and restaurant were convenient for meals, which I enjoyed. although the breakfast could use improvement, particularly with the eggs lacking a fresh texture.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had decent facilities, including a bar and restaurant, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. However, the parking fee felt a bit excessive.

My stay at Hotel Indigo in Houston was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Galleria. However, the room I stayed in left much to be desired. While the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, it felt rather barren, lacking important amenities like rugs and a properly functioning refrigerator. Overall, it had its highlights, but I expected more from a boutique hotel experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and clean, but it had a sparse decor that didn’t align with my expectations for a boutique hotel. The absence of rugs and a full-sized fridge was disappointing.
Service
5.0
The staff was reasonably responsive, though I felt some situations could have been better handled. I had an issue with the refrigerator, and while maintenance came to fix it, it shouldn't have been a problem to begin with.
Location
9.0
The hotel is ideally situated just half a block from the Galleria, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. This was definitely a highlight of my stay.
Dining
7.0
I didn’t try the breakfast, but I appreciated that the hotel had dining options available. I noticed homemade cakes displayed, which looked tempting!
Facilities
6.0
The amenities met standard expectations, but I was surprised by the additional parking charge, which felt a bit off for a hotel in this category.

I had a good experience overall at this hotel, but there were a few things that could use improvement. The spacious rooms and charming decor made for a pleasant stay, though I had some issues with certain amenities. Additionally, the location near the Galleria was a huge plus! 🌟

My room was large and beautifully decorated, but the kitchenette lacked basic utensils. The bathroom was lovely with a giant shower.

Overall, I had a lovely stay at Hotel Indigo in Houston. The location is super convenient, just a hop away from the Galleria, and the hotel's charm really stood out to me. However, I did encounter some hiccups with amenities. While the rooms were clean and comfy, some features didn't quite meet my expectations, which was a bit of a letdown.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and impeccably clean, with comfortable furnishings. I got solid sleep thanks to the crisp sheets and quality mattress. That said, I was hoping for a kitchenette and the kitchen setup was lacking.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and welcoming, with Britney at the front desk really making an impression by remembering my name and addressing my IHG Spire status. However, there were a few moments where the service felt a bit scattered and could use improvement.
Location
9.0
The hotel is conveniently located right around the corner from the Galleria, which is perfect for anyone wanting to shop or dine nearby. I felt safe during my stay, but it’s worth mentioning that the area can attract some unsavory characters due to its high traffic.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the hotel's onsite dining options. The bistro downstairs was a nice touch, offering a solid menu. I've got to say, though, some food options could be expanded for more variety.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel had some nice amenities like a bar and restaurant, I found the availability of certain features lacking. For instance, I was expecting outdoor seating and didn't have the basics in the kitchen area.
